Microphone Not Working? How to Fix It
If your microphone isn't working when trying to make calls, don't worry - it's usually a quick fix. Most microphone issues are caused by browser permissions or system settings. This guide walks you through enabling microphone access on every major platform.

- 1Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS)
- 2Click Privacy & Security in the sidebar
- 3Click Microphone
- 4Find your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) in the list
- 5Toggle the switch ON to allow microphone access
- 6Restart your browser for changes to take effect
- 7If prompted again on the website, click "Allow" to grant access

- 1Click the Start menu and open Settings
- 2Go to Privacy & security (or Privacy on Windows 10)
- 3Scroll down and click Microphone
- 4Make sure "Microphone access" is turned ON
